Injection Treatments.

Supplementary injection treatments are recommended when the first signs of aging appear or following face lift procedures. The goal is to postpone these signs for as long as possible or to complement surgical anti-aging treatment, enhancing skin texture and smoothing wrinkles and lines.

When the chosen substance is injected in a wrinkle, the wrinkle is filled, leaving the skin surface smoother and resulting in a younger, healthier appearance.

A large variety of dermal fillers exists. The surgeon will recommend the most appropriate product in light of each patient's specific needs, the type of wrinkle being treated and the results desired.

Candidates

Any man or woman who notices the first signs of facial aging or has had a face lift.

It is recommended for forehead wrinkles and frown lines.

Types of Dermal Fillers

Dermal filler substances are classified into two main types based on the time the body takes to reabsorb them.

Organic substances: fat, human collagen, bovine collagen and hyaluronic acid.

Inorganic substances: polylactic acid, methacrylate and similar types of microspheres, Gore-tex threads and polyacrylamide.

Organic substances are completely reabsorbable; inorganic substances are not, with the exception of polylactic acid, which is reabsorbed in the long term.
